Product: TrueCommerce Home (for Vendor)
TrueCommerce Home allows Vendors to receive email notifications when Retailers send a new Purchase Order (PO) or Purchase Order Change. These alerts help users stay updated on upcoming orders without needing to log in frequently.
To learn how to enable and verify email notifications for new orders in the Vendor portal, read on!
Steps to Enable Email Notifications for New Orders
Step 1: Access User Management
On the TrueCommerce Home portal for Vendor, click Administration > User Management to access the User Management section.
Select Edit User corresponding to the user that you want to modify in the User Action drop-down list.
Step 2: Review the “Exclude from Emails” Settings
On the Edit User window, locate the Exclude from Emails section.
This is the only section that controls which email notifications a user does NOT receive.
If the New Order box is selected here, the user will not receive new order notifications.
To enable new order email notification, make sure the New Order box is NOT checked.
Step 3: How New Order Email Notifications Work
When the New Order box is unselected, users will receive emails for:
Purchase Orders loaded
Purchase Order Changes that have been set
IMPORTANT
By default, all users created by the Services Team are automatically set up to receive all email notifications unless exclusions are manually added.
A user will only receive new order emails for retailers that are assigned to them. Therefore, check the Trading Partners section to ensure the retailer is assigned there.
If users are not receiving new order email notifications for a certain retailer, but they are logging in and seeing new orders, it is likely because they have not set up that trading partner as an assigned trading partner.
Once the retailer is assigned, new order notifications will automatically activate for that retailer.
Summary
Setting up email notifications for new order in TrueCommerce Home for Vendor will be done with two key items: the user must ensure the New Order box is NOT selected under Exclude from Emails, and the retailer must be assigned to their account.
When the exclusion settings are clear and the trading partner relationship is properly configured, vendors will automatically receive timely alerts for every new PO and any subsequent changes. This ensures that they never miss important order activity and can respond promptly to Retailer requests.
