Product: TrueCommerce Home (for Vendor)

Within the TrueCommerce Home portal for Vendor, you can send the following return documents to your Retailer customer:

  • EDI 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement (PO ACK)

  • EDI 856 Advanced Ship Notice (ASN)

  • EDI 810 Invoice

Each section, below, targets each of those transactions.

Sending a PO ACK

What is a PO ACK?

The EDI 855 is a return document sent to the Buyer acknowledging that the PO has been received and processed. Some Buyers require an Acknowledgement for every PO to be submitted within 48 hours. The EDI 855 acknowledges the product, estimated Ship Date, quantity, and cost of the ordered items. Any cancellations or back orders are expected to be communicated in the PO ACK.

How to Send a PO ACK

Perform the following steps:

  1. From the portal for Vendor, select the Document Management menu.

  2. On the Document Management screen, click the DocNum link of the live PO for which you want to create a PO ACK.

  3. On the PURCHASE ORDER screen, click the Create ACK button.

This step will take you to the corresponding PO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT window.

  4. Complete the PO ACK information.

NOTE: The required fields are marked with a red asterisk.

  5. Click the Send Ack button to send the PO ACK transaction to the Retailer customer.

NOTE: If there are any changes to the price, quantity, or dates in the PO ACK compared to the original PO, these will be regarded as "exceptions" and marked with a red Y in the PO ACK column. If there are no exceptions, it will be marked with a blue Y.
